Two-Stage Nonlinear Compression of a Yb:KGW Laser Amplifier to Sub-10 fs Duration

Abstract

We demonstrate the nonlinear compression of pulses from a commercial Yb:KGW laser amplifier using a two-stage hollow-core fiber and multi plate continuum compressor to below 9 fs duration with an overall system transmission of 60%.
