Abstract

We propose a novel dual-order backward-pumped distributed Raman amplification scheme assisted by 25cm erbium-doped-fiber providing nearly perfect multi-span signal power symmetry and 7dB nonlinear threshold improvement for 256Gb/s inline transmission when deploying optical phase conjugation.
