Photonic Crystal Devices for Sensing

Abstract

Two photonic crystal (PC) devices will be presented. The PC nanolaser detects electrochemical effects, which allows ultrahigh sensitivity or spectral-analysis-free sensing. The PC slow light waveguide is used as a Tx/Rx optical antenna in LiDAR.
