Ultrawide Strain Tuning of Luminescence from Mechanically Stressed InGaAs Nanomembranes

Abstract

We investigate the tunability of semiconductor light emission based on the use of nanomembranes under external mechanical stress. Active tuning of the InGaAs emission spectrum over an ultrawide wavelength range (> 250 nm) is demonstrated.
