112 Gb/s CAP-based Data Transmission over 100 m MMF Links using an Artificial Neural Network Equalizer

Abstract

A novel artificial neural network equalizer for use in short-reach optical links is proposed. 112Gb/s and 56Gb/s CAP-16 data transmission are demonstrated by simulation and experiment respectively with receiver sensitivities of -4 and -7 dBm.
