1.7-μm high-power laser generation from a thulium-assisted optical parametric oscillator (TAOPO) for bond-selective photoacoustic microscopy

Abstract

We present a high-power thulium-assisted optical parametric oscillator (TAOPO), which provides a pulse energy of 146 nJ with a duration of 2 ns at 1.7-μm window. It is a promising exciting source for bond-selective photoacoustic microscopy.
