Cascading Nonlinearity Inside a Spectrometer (CaNIS) for Ultrashort Pulse Diagnostics

Abstract

An ultrashort pulse is characterized by using spectra only. Second harmonic and cascading spectra are manipulated with a grating spectrometer to determine the original pulse’s spectral phase, and hence achieve complete field reconstruction.
