Quantum cascade multi-spectral laser with integrated beam combiner on silicon

Abstract

A multi-spectral quantum cascade laser is demonstrated on SOI, emitting at 4.6–4.7 µm with an integrated multiplexer. Low-loss spectral beam combining to a single-mode waveguide efficiently scales the output power.
