Electrooptic Active Q switching at the 2 μm Wavelength Range using KLTN:Cu Crystals

Abstract

An actively Q switched Tm:YLF laser operating at 1880 nm, generating 5 mJ, 34 nsec pulse duration is presented. Q switching was done by an electrooptic 2 mm long KLTN crystal driven at 3.6 kV/cm.
