Femtosecond Laser Writing of Lithium Tantalate Crystals for Waveguide Fabrication

Abstract

We report on the direct fabrication of type I and type II waveguides in z-cut lithium tantalate crystal by varying the parameters of femtosecond laser. The waveguiding properties and reflectance spectrum of the fabricated waveguides were also characterized in this work.
