Photonic Crystal Enhanced Photothermal Lens

Abstract

We demonstrate a photonic crystal-based method that is capable of enhancing the photothermal lens effect generated by light absorbing materials. The method was used to analyze gold nanoparticles and exhibited stronger photothermal lens signals.
