Fabrication of Novel Biomimetic Structures on Steel Via Femtosecond Laser Over-Scans

Abstract

We present different biomimetic structures on steel fabricated with a high repetition rate femtosecond laser. We show that their wetting properties can be defined by the irradiation conditions and the overall number of over-scans.
