Self-consistent modeling of laser matter interactions in laser-based 3D printing of metals & alloys

Abstract

We present self-consistent model of laser mater interactions in powder beds of 3D printing of metals. Results are in exceptional agreement with developed analytical model, providing guidelines toward improved control over the processes scan rates.
