Influence of substrates on photocarrier dynamics in monolayer TMDs

Abstract

We demonstrate that dielectric screening from substrates has a strong influence on photocarrier dynamics in monolayer TMDs. In particular, the interband recombination time is found dramatically shortened with the increase of substrate dielectric constants.
