Abstract

A 40-GHz coherent Nyquist pulse was generated from a C2H2 frequency-stabilized CW fiber laser and an optical comb generator. A 1.5-THz flat-top comb was shaped into 680-fs Nyquist pulses, which are applicable to 1.28-Tbaud transmission.
