Optimizing the Power Efficiency of a SESAM Fiber Comb Laser

Abstract

The power efficiency of femtosecond fiber lasers with semiconductor saturable absorbers is limited by the wake instability. We computationally optimize the output power and efficiency by increasing the output coupling ratio and gain fiber length.
