Extreme Anisotropy, Spectral Modification, and Intensity Enhancement in Luminescent Hyperbolic Metasurfaces

Abstract

We report the demonstration of luminescent hyperbolic metasurfaces (LuHMS) fabricated from deeply subwavelength multilayer metal-semiconductor nanostructures. The LuHMS exhibit extreme polarization anisotropy of absorption and emission, modified emission spectra, and enhanced emission intensity.
