Accelerating Beam-Driven Generation of Isolated Few-cycle EUV and X-ray Pulses

Abstract

We propose a scheme that leverages the spatial structure of accelerating beams to achieve isolated and highly-directional few-cycle EUV and X-ray pulses, circumventing the need for extremely short driver pulse durations.
