Petahertz Optical Switching in Air-Plasma

Abstract

The modulation of electron conductivity of air-plasma with carrier-envelope phase (CEP) stabilized 7-fs laser pulses was demonstrated, which originates from the CEP-induced modification of electric field of laser pulses which is nonlinear amplified during its propagation.
