Exciting Localized Modes in Polar Epsilon-Near-Zero Materials

Abstract

We design, fabricate and characterize nanoantennas on epsilon-near-zero polar thin films. Reflection measurements and simulations indicate a localized mode at 11.2 μm that has a strong electric field in the AlN epsilon-near-zero film.
