Evanescent Guiding of Acoustic Waves for Chip-scale Optomechanical Circuits

Abstract

We investigate evanescent guiding of acoustic waves in solids without suspension by utilizing impedance contrast in silicon-based materials. This enables construction of waveguides, resonators and other building blocks to form complex optomechanical circuits.
