Minimizing the Modal Delay Spread in Coupled-Core Two-Core Fiber

Abstract

We measured the impulse response of coupled-core pairs with pitch between 12.2-μm and 28.1-μm to find the maximum number of cores that can be placed in a multi-core fiber with the shortest impulse response.
