Generation of 10-kW Pulses at 880 nm in Commercial Fiber via Parametric Amplification in a Higher Order Mode

Abstract

We amplify a seed laser at 880 nm to achieve 385 ps pulses with 10 kW peak power in a commercial step-index multimode fiber using four-wave mixing pumped at 1064 nm in a large effective area LP0,6 mode.
