Sub-micron periodically-poled lithium niobate waveguide for integrated nonlinear optics

Abstract

We present the first integrable periodically-poled lithium niobate (PPLN) waveguide with a submicron waveguide core that is realized on a silicon nitride thin film lithium niobate platform. Second-harmonic generation based on this device is demonstrated.
