Frequency-chirped multi-cycled terahertz pulse generated from periodically poled lithium niobate for frequency-modulated continuous-wave radars

Abstract

Broadband down- and up-chirped THz pulses are generated from PPLNs. Their temporal frequency shift and temporal amplitude are demonstrated. In the case of the down-chirped THz pulse, square-shaped waveform with broadband frequency shift is observed.
