Plasmonic Crystal Cavity on Optical Fiber End Facet for High Performance Label-Free Biosensing

Abstract

Plasmonic crystal cavities on single-mode optical fiber end facets show a refractive index detection limit of 3.5×10-6 RIU. Real-time monitoring of the kinetic interaction process between immobilized proteins and partner molecules is demonstrated.
