Electromechanically tunable 3D nano-split-ring array for dynamic control of light

Abstract

We present an electromechanically controlled metasurface, consisting of an array of three-dimensional nano-split-rings. By applying voltage, its resonance can be tuned from 5.5 μm to 10 μm, with 110% reflectivity change and enormous optical rotations.
