Unidirectional, common-path dual-comb lasing enabled by multiple soliton formation mechanisms in a passively hybrid mode-locked fiber ring laser

Abstract

Simultaneous oscillation of two pulses under different regimes in a hybrid mode-locked fiber laser is demonstrated. The coherent picosecond and femtosecond pulses with a small frequency difference are applied to asynchronous-sampling and dual-comb measurement.
