Watt-level single longitudinal mode Tm-doped fiber laser based on a self-constructed saturable absorption grating

Abstract

We demonstrate a thulium-doped fiber ring laser integrated with an amplifier. Its output features a single longitudinal mode, a wide tunability of 120 nm and a high-enough power of up to 2.2 W with a slope efficiency of 10.7 %.
