In-line Optofluidic Sensor Based on a Long-Period Grating in a Side-Channel Photonic Crystal Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate an all-in-fiber optofluidic refractive index sensor based on a long-period grating in a side-channel photonic crystal fiber. We achieve fast liquid circulation and a sensitivity of ~1042 nm/RIU over the range of 1.33~1.36.
