Characterizing the quantum detection property of the multipixel photon counter

Abstract

A multi-pixel photon counter was characterized by the quantum detector tomography and demonstrated to be a fundamental quantum detector for the observation of non-classical phenomenon according to the negative values of the Wigner function.
