Silicon Nitride Coupled-Resonator Optical-Waveguide-based Biosensors using Visible-Light-Scattering Pattern Recognition

Abstract

We demonstrate silicon nitride coupled-resonator optical-waveguide-based biosensors using visible-light-scattering pattern recognition with pixelized mode-field-intensity distributions. Our 16-microring sensor reveals 14 eigenstates. Our algorithm suggests an average sensitivity of ~ 372 RIU−1.
