Abstract

Few-cycle highly-intense radially polarized lasers unfold a novel compact accelerator uniquely capable of direct laser-to-particle energy transfer. We present the technology that proofs this concept yielding highly-directional multi-GeV/m non-relativistic electron accelerating gradients.
