Generation of 33-fs laser pulses from a Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:CaYAlO4 laser

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrated a diode-pumped Kerr-lens mode-locked femtosecond laser based on a Yb:CaYAlO4 crystal. Pulses with a duration as short as 33 fs at the center wavelength of 1059 nm were obtained.
