Physical insight into optical coupling between photoreceptor cell nuclei

Abstract

We study optical coupling and light transport among photoreceptor cell nuclei of mammals’ retina. This study also sheds light on light focusing and transport phenomena along microsphere-chain waveguides. The resonance’s role is discussed in details.
