Continuously Tunable Laser Based on Multiple-Section DFB Laser Technology for 1.25 Gbps WDM-PON Applications

Abstract

A low-cost continuously tunable laser based on multiple in-line DFB sections and thermal tuning is demonstrated. It is capable of 16 channel tuning and 1.25 Gbps operation. Transceiver performance will also be shown.
