Implementation of optical multiplicative spike-timing-dependent plasticity with adaptive current feedback of semiconductor optical amplifiers

Abstract

We present the optical multiplicative spike-timing-dependent-plasticity (STDP) by adaptive control of current injection to the semiconductor optical amplifiers. As a result, we can mimic the behavior of biological STDP synapses more realistically.
