Abstract

We demonstrate all-optical tuning of a graphene-cladded silicon photonic crystal cavity. A continuous-wave control laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm is focused on the cavity and a 3.5 nm resonant shift is observed. Several physical reasons causing the shift are discussed in details, especially the thermal optical and free carrier dispersion effects are analyzed by the temporal characteristics of the reflective spectra
