Semiconductor Optical Amplifier with Holding Beam Injection for Single Path Accurate Time Transmission

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrated an accurate time transfer over 200 km single fiber path using semiconductor optical amplifiers in bidirectional operation with holding beam injection. Experiments show significant reductions of spontaneous lase of the fiber path.
