Ultra-narrow linewidth fiber laser with self-injection feedback based on Rayleigh backscattering

Abstract

We propose a single longitudinal mode fiber laser with ultra-narrow linewidth of ~130 Hz by combining self-injection feedback and Rayleigh backscattering, in which Rayleigh backscattering collected by self-injection feedback is utilized as linewidth compressor.
