Abstract

We describe a kHz repetition-rate mid-IR laser system based on OPCPA, optimized for soft x-ray high harmonic generation. To date we have demonstrated 1.4mJ at 1.6µm, and 550µJ at 3µm, each with bandwidth compressible to <100fs.
