Tunable mid-infrared (6.3–7.8 µm) optical vortex laser

Abstract

We demonstrate a tunable mid-infrared (6.3–7.8-μm) vortex laser formed of a 1-μm vortex pumped optical parametric oscillator and a difference frequency generator. Maximum output energy of 160-μJ was obtained at a wavelength of 6.5-μm.
