Generation of CW Terahertz Waves in the 3 THz Range Using a MZM-Based Flat Comb Generator

Abstract

THz waves in the 3 THz range have been generated by photonic down-conversion using a Mach-Zehnder-modulator-based flat comb generator. THz waves were detected by a hot electron bolometer mixer with a quantum cascade laser.
