Highly-efficient Mid-IR Supercontinuum Generation in ZBLAN Fiber Pumped by Thulium-doped Fiber Amplifier

Abstract

Mid-infrared supercontinuum of 8.1 W with optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of ~76% with respect to the launched pump power at 2 µm wavelength was demonstrated in a ZBLAN fiber pumped by a thulium-doped all-fiber amplifier.
