Influence of the Metamaterial Geometry on Ultra-Strong Light-Matter Interaction

Abstract

We present a comprehensive study on the influence of the metamaterial geometry on ultra-strong coupling to intersubband transitions. The spatial overlap of a metamaterial cavity mode and quantum-well region shows the strongest effect.
