Mid-Infrared Single-Photon Detection with Tungsten Silicide Superconducting Nanowires

Abstract

We developed superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) based on tungsten silicide (WSi), that show saturated internal detection efficiency from 2.1 to 5.5 µm wavelength.
