Wireless optical telecommunications using non trivial beams

Abstract

We demonstrate using experiments and simulations that the use of accelerating optical beams such as Airy and ring-Airy beams, considerably benefits wireless optical telecommunications both in respect of range and robustness to atmospheric turbulence.
