All-fiber 10-GHz Picosecond-Pulse Generation at 1.9 µm without Mode-locking

Abstract

I generate 3.6 ps 10-GHz pulses at 1877 nm in an all-fiber package without mode- locking. To the best of my knowledge, this shows the highest repetition rate for all-fiber ultrafast pulse generation near 2.0 µm.
