Unidirectional Optical Bloch Oscillations in Garnet/Silicon-On-Insulator Waveguide Arrays

Abstract

We demonstrate the existence of unidirectional optical Bloch oscillations in transversely magnetized, garnet/silicon-on-insulator waveguide arrays. This phenomenon enables the design and fabrication of multi-functional on-chip devices.
