Abstract

We demonstrate adiabatic downconversion of a 110-nm band from a Ti:sapphire oscillator to the infrared, spanning 1550-2450 nm, with near-100% efficiency. The technique can potentially deliver multi-octave-spanning pulses for parametric amplification.
